It is hard to believe it has only been a year since Alcor’s 50th Anniversary. We are continuing to streamline our membership process as you can see below. We appreciate your patience as we work through these automations. The staff at Alcor are working on exciting new developments that will be rolled out over the next several
months.
In the meantime, a snapshot of the changes we have made over the last year include: - The Finance Department under the direction of Lynn Smith, our Controller, has adopted NetSuite and replaced QuickBooks. As with any new system there have been glitches, but these have been tackled as they pop up. This replacement now allows members to make their payment from the emailed invoice and set up either a credit card or an ACH through their bank account. Members can also update their cards as needed. The automation this system brings will save
hours in staff time for billing and recording transactions.
- The Membership Department, under the direction of Diane Cremeens, our Membership Director has added many tools to our Salesforce application which allows members to create an account and update membership details. If you have not already done so, please visit our website and click on APPLY NOW. This will allow you to create an account, update your information (click on existing member), and sign our new membership
agreements.
- New membership contracts – As an Alcor cryopreservation member you can sign new contracts by going online as above, create an account, update your information, and sign your contract. The new contracts offer added protection for our members, patients, Alcor, and the cryonics community. The new membership model utilizes aged, based dues. When you sign new contracts, you will be enrolled in the new membership model either locking in your dues at $15 times your age per year or your current membership dues rate, whichever is lower. If you have any questions about this process, please contact Diane in the membership
department.
